Do You Prefer Using A Mac Or A Windows OS
It’s true that there are plenty of different computer manufacturing brands, but for the average user, there are only two choices for operating systems: Mac OS vs. Windows. You could also try Linux, but that is usually only used by advanced computer users or businesses. When it is time to pick your next computer, you’ll want to be able to look closely at both Mac and Windows systems and we’ll share some of the advantages of each of them in the following paragraphs.
Windows is better suited to computer users who are going to be using their computers in concert with a variety of external devices. As an example, if you buy a new computer with Windows 7, it will probably have a Blu-ray player built into it alongside a memory stick reader, multi-format card readers, etc. A lot of people want to be able to connect their computers to their television sets and when you own a Mac, this requires a special converter tool. Computers that have Windows 7 installed, though, are usually able to directly connect to your TV set. This makes it easy to watch any online videos on your television. In general, computers that run Windows are more compatible with external devices than computers with a Mac OS (unless, obviously that device was made by Apple). Many of the most popular products made by Apple today aren’t computers, but iPhones, iPods and iPads. Obviously Mac computer owners can easily connect these devices to their computers. When you have a Mac you have access to the free iCloud service, which makes it easy to sync your computer with your iPhone, iPod or iPad. So if you’re a fan of downloading content to your mobile devices, transferring them to your Mac computer is a lot easier than it used to be. Of course, this is only a benefit if you like to use Apple’s mobile devices. Windows users, on the other hand, generally have a far more difficult time keeping their computers and their mobile devices synced.
Neither system is that much better than the other one, and don’t let anyone tell you so. When hardware or software worked with only a Mac, or only with Windows, both of the systems were really different. Things have changed with both PCs and Macs, as they can use most devices now, along with whatever software it takes to run them. A modern Mac can now run Windows, if you happen to have one. For most computer users, you will be able to do anything you need to do, with either computer, but there are still a few specialized areas, which makes one superior to the other.
You aren’t going to find a 100% accurate answer about whether Mac or Windows is the better operating system. Both systems have fans and there are absolute advantages to each of them. It’s important to give careful consideration to what you need your OS to do, how much you can afford to spend, etc and then choose the OS that best matches those things.
